Narcolepsy? Maybe

If you follow my posts you all know that Jake has a tendency to fall asleep pretty much anywhere no matter the comfort of the area or the activity he is doing.

 in the high chair:

eating cereal:

waiting for Mommy:

Walking:

at the dinner table:

going sledding:

or getting a snack for himself:

So the following story should surprise none of you.  Jake started kindergarten this year.  Here, where we live, kindergarten is full day.  So, Jake gets up at 6:30, catches the bus at 7:00 and arrives home around 4:00.  Jake goes to the same elementary that Riley and Ben go to.  So, Jake, Riley and Ben all ride the same bus home from school every day.  On Friday, Riley and Ben get off the bus and start walking.  Soon thereafter, Ben notices something missing, or rather SOMEONE...his brother Jake.  Luckily, the bus hadn't pulled away quite yet and Ben was able to flag the driver down and ascend up the stairs to ask about Jake.  After a few moments of searching, Ben was able to locate his little brother and Jake was, of course, sound asleep.

Needless to say, with Jake's tendency to fall asleep so easily, Ben has been given strict instructions to sit beside Jake from now on to avoid any similar future mishaps.

  1. That is too funny! I love it. I hope the boys will keep a good eye on him.
