Sad

because we had to re-home Harley.

There were a lot of tears yesterday.

 And a few today.
We wish Harley well with his new owner.

Sometimes it is not easy to do the right thing but we were not home enough to take good care of that puppy :(

On a happier note, Riley turned 10!  So in celebration of his tenth bday, here are 10 random facts about our Riles.

1.  Riley's favorite food is pork ribs.  It used to be pizza but I guess we had it too much for dinner there for a while.  (Apparently for him, once a week it too much.)

2.  He cheats at almost all games except his favorite two games:  chess and paintball.  No cheating there...all seriousness during these games.

3.  He has a dry sense of humor and loves shirts with funny sayings on them.  Here is one of the tshirts he has that he is wearing today.  (And yes, he is an avid star wars fan just in case you were wondering.)

4.  Riley's favorite song is "Best day of my life" by American Authors but he can also be caught singing one of the many broadway musical songs his sister plays on the radio over and over.  His most recent caught singing is the song "Seventy Six Trombones" from the music man.  (And don't think he's wierd, Kenzie plays these all enough that every boy in our family has the songs memorized.)

5.  He's my messiest child and doesn't like to make his bed, pick up his clothes, or pick up his legos.  Unfortunately for him though, he has me for a mom and IT MUST BE DONE.

6.  He makes friends easily.  When I go to school he says hi to EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE.  His best friend is still Ben, most of the time.

7.  He's never broken a bone but has had three sets of stitches and has dislocated his baby toe.

8.  He's always in a hurry to be the first one done...and sometimes that means he has to re-do things.  Sorry Riles!

9.  He sticks out his tongue when in deep concentration.

10.   He picks up things very quickly and is constantly trying to improve his talents. (This is a little bit of a curse though too because when things don't come easily, well...)

Happy bday Riles!  So glad you're part of our family!
