September/October

September and October just flew by.  Mid-September Brad, Riley and Jake headed to Boise to fish with Brad's friend, John, on the Boise River.

Riley got to use his new birthday gear on the trip.

Brad and John helped Jake and Riley fly fish.

While the boys were in Boise, I headed back east to visit my brother and his family.  Rick was a great host and took me to do something every day.  The first night we had a campfire down by a lake.

The second day he took me to New York for my first trip to New York city and my first chance to watch a broadway show.

A few weeks later, we all went to hike the narrows in baptist draw.  Kenzie, Ben, Molly, Jordan and Molly's brothers, Kaiden and Jacob, all met us there.

Selfie in the car on our way to our campsite.

The sunset from the car was beautiful.

We set up camp in the dark and waited for the remainder of the group to come.

And while we waited, Dad made his famous dutch over peach cobbler for everyone.

Riley capture some pictures of the camp the following morning.

Then we headed into the narrows.

This repel was over 80 feet.  Jordan set up the anchors and Jake was the first one to descend.  Pretty brave if you ask me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't look down at all.

I've never done something like that before.  It was awe-inspiring and amazing to be there.  Even more amazing is how well all my children could navigate a hike like that.  It was so great that we actually did the hike twice, but cut the hike in half the second day.  Because we cut it in half the second day we went through a lot more water. We were in so much water that we only got one picture of that day.

We went home and decorated for Halloween

and made spudnuts...or rather Jake made spudnuts.

A few weeks later was Kenzie and Ben's fall break.  They came and visited us.  We went for a fun fall bike ride with pretty colors.

The weather was beautiful so the boys went dirt biking while Kenzie and I went paddle boarding on the river.

Jake and Riley had homecoming that weekend too.  Can you tell who my best poser is?

And we also shot some senior pictures while the weather was nice and the scenery beautiful.

Also got sent some pictures of some Halloween pumpkin carving fun from Salt Lake.  I'm so glad they have each other.
