The best lobbyist

I was upstairs getting ready for church when all of the sudden I heard wailing coming from my youngest, Jake.  I had seen nothing and so asked my children what happened.  Jordan related to me that Riley had hit Jake and  hence, the wailing.

Riley is called up to my room for needed correction and punishment regarding said hitting of younger brother.  When asked why Riley would inflict such pain on said innocent brother, Riley paused for a reflective moment and then indignantly answered by asking me a question in return, "Well, why would HE be wearing MY Sunday clothes!"


He did sway me to not be as harsh in my punishment and he did get his Sunday outfit back.
