Right before we took Jordan to the MTC we had the opportunity to unplug and spend time together as a friends and family on the Middle Fork of the Salmon river. Here are my favorite shots from the trip.
John and Ben putting in our boat (I believe it's our cat) at the put in. The water was so shallow this year because of the time of year we went. It was below 2 ft.
All our boats getting ready at put in.
Quick picture of me on the back of Brad's boat day 1. I was the photographer most of the time so pictures of me are few and far between.
First time Ben rowed the Middle Fork. He stomped it. He also rowed our friend's daughter Shelby the whole way.
Brad and I going down Velvet, the first big rapid.
Bengoing down same rapid.
Snorkeling and dinner at Joe Bump camp, end of day 1.
Just a pretty picture. Day 2 I believe.
Kenzie got a break from the duckie and got to row the big raft some that day.
Jake got to ride with Brad and I.
Water guns came out.
Some good cliff jumping during our lunch break.
Night Camp day 2 at Upper Marble.
Some creative rowing happened on day 3.
Playing at Loon creek hotsprings night 3
Start of day 4
Riles catching some good water
Ben Tappan falls.
Jordan Tappan.
Our friend John on Tappan
Kenzie catching some good water in her duckie
Camp at Elk bar Day 4
Final most exciting day. Lots of white water for us all. It was a cold trip out though. Kenzie almost became hypothermic. Thanks to Dad and his preparation she survived.
Watch Kenzie carefully these next few shots.
Yep, that's here getting rocked by son of rubber. First boat flip of the trip.
But right back in for Rubber and Hancock.
Final shots of the canyon.
And a fun siting of a moose and her baby on our way out.
Great bonding time for the family.
