I have so much to catch up on with my blog, but first let's start with this; My handsome boy Riles just turned 12. Here's his birthday interview.
What was your favorite thing that happened this last year?
Running the animas at 4500 cfs in our catarafts.
What was the last movie you saw?
Shadow Riders
What was the last movie that you loved and why?
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 because it was hilarious.
What is your favorite song and why?
Orion by Metallica because it is an awesome instrumental and I am learning it on the guitar.
Who are you in love with?
Nobody (It may be a little early yet). He does have a crush on someone but he won't let me name the person.
What do you wish you could own?
A lamborghini or a corvett stingray. (Don't we all wish this. Riley just may have one one day though. He is very industrious as his selling of his paper origami shows....25 cents per easy design and up in price from there.)
What do you want your next vacation to be?
Middle Fork of the Salmon.
What are you most worried about?
Blue (our new dog) not making it with us.
What is one amazing thing you expect to do next year?
Be an amazing guitar player.
What is your favorite recent memory?
Middle Fork of the Salmon River trip with my family.
What were the 3 top accomplishments from last year?
I played Smoke on the Water at the talent show.
Mountain biking Telegraph.
Dirtbiking with the adults and being able to keep up enough.
What made you laugh the hardest recently?
Snakes have legs

What are you best at? What do you think are you greatest assets and skills?
Dirtbiking. Being able to think and act quickly and assess situations is my greatest asset.
What are your life goals at the moment? Did you make any progress on them?
To become a better slalom skier. Yes, I made progress this year.
What are your wishes for the upcoming year?
To go to state middle school wrestling.
What do you think you will be doing this time next year?
Dirtbiking...braaaap...in Moab.
What do you think will change about you over the next year?
I'll be faster on a dirtbike.
What is one piece advice would you give your future self?
Don't ride faster than you can....applies to life too don't take on more than you are able to do.
What is your purpose in life?
To be able to help a lot of people.
