Snowmageddon...and I really mean it

I mean, our local ski resort got 49" this last week and we're 10 miles down the road so we got a similar amount.  It was a lot.  It snowed Monday and Tuesday.  Then gave us a break on Wednesday.  Then snowed continuously Wednesday night through Friday Evening.

Here's some shots of the chaos before, during and after.

Our driveway:

There was so much snow we had to haul it to a different spot with our truck.

Our back yard

We did a lot of shoveling.  Kenzie after shoveling the back porch.

Me and Kenzie together proud that we got it done.

 Kenzie sipping hot chocolate after.

The kids had three snow days this week, along with one real break day so they only went to school one day.  That meant time for family gathering.  What do we do when we gather?  We relax and well, Brad and the boys play.

That's them on their way to skin the mountain across the way.  It's always been a dream of Brad's to ski out of our front yard.  He said they found the mountain lion's lair across the way too.

We were so happy to see the sun yesterday Kenzie and I headed out to take pictures at the river.

She was determined to get good pictures and determined to swing on our buried swing set.

She got it done.

So glad we're done shoveling for now.  Hopefully the snow that's to come this weekend won't be as serious as this last hit.
