What it's like to live with teenage boys?
You get texts like this:
You get screen shots like this:
What's that you ask? Ben posing for his coach to prove to him he still has abs after his coach teasingly called him fat since he wrestled 138 this last weekend instead of 132.
And screen shots like this:
Boys play wrestling to prove who is tougher. Now Ben does weigh 40 more pounds than Riley so he's pretty much the winner if he wants to be but Riley never gives up. NEVER!!!! Every time Ben beats him Riley goes back after him again.
Of course this kind of play leads to this kind of toughness in wrestling matches:
Riley is the black singlet and you can't tell it(because his opponent is so much taller than Riley) in the screenshot above but he is about to get the take down there.
Riley took first this last weekend in his tournament and Ben took fifth in the Freshman/Sophomore classic. Didn't get a picture of Ben with his medal, but here's Riles. Love the cheesy smile.
Finally you occasionally get shots like this still, even though they are teenagers now:
Sometimes they're just plum worn out.
Onto other things:
We got a pretty sunset this last week. It made me happy so I took a picture of it.
And finally Brad and the older boys got some epic turns back country skiing. Oh, and Riley received the valuable lesson of not blaming Dad when equipment won't work on the hill. Learning to take responsibility for your own actions can be hard to learn in the early teen years.
Now that this is all said and the pictures are all posted imagine me lifting my flag, planting it in the top of the mountain I just climbed and collapsing because the writing took so much effort. Done Kenzie, done.
