Fall break

The University that my children are attending has a fall break and since they only live 6 hours away, guess who they come visit?  Well, guess who Ben and Kenzie come visit?  You are right, us.  Jordan used to visit but hasn't been home the last two years for fall break.  The University his girlfriend attends doesn't have a  fall break AND he has been doing a ton of dental school interviews recently.  Today he is in California interviewing.  

Anyway, Kenzie and Ben came and visited us.  It was wonderful.  They got home late Wednesday night.

As soon as Ben got here...shirt came off, you know, because it's so hot in October.

We teased Ben quite a bit because he put on 15 lbs for rugby.  To be honest though, he really did look pretty buff.  Ben did have his shirt on at times....like when he hung out with Blue.

Okay, that's the only picture I have of Ben with his shirt on.  On Thursday Brad and I were off so we took the kids and went on some mountain bike rides.  It was my first ride back.  It felt good to be back again.  Friday we worked...and the kids got some teeth cleanings that were due.  We also went on a hike up raiders that evening and took the two of them out to pizza.

  Then on Saturday the boys went dirtbiking...

And Kenzie and I hung out together in town.

On Sunday we worked on getting everything ready for the trip to the dunes that the kids and Brad were planning on going to the following weekend.  Here's Ben modeling the self-made safety flags.

And, of course, before they left Sunday afternoon I got to grab a couple of farewell selfies with the two of them.  We love these kids so much.  It's good to get to spend time with them like this.
