So...pretty busy this holiday season. Kenzie and Ben came home mid-December and just left this past Thursday and Molly and Jordan visited us together for a little over a week. Having a full house like that again was a ton of fun and very chaotic. Nothing to do but embrace the chaos.
Let's just start from the beginning. Brad thought he'd buy himself some Christmas presents this year. Are you able to guess what he bought himself? Coats...like 3 or 4 of them. Add that to the 20 or so that he already has and he's a real, true-life, coat connoisseur. And, his favorite is this:
because as he said it makes him look, "just like John Dutton." You know, from Yellowstone.
Jordan and Molly, before they came to visit us, went up to Washington to visit her parents and family and pay a visit to my parents.
While there they went fishing, made sushi, pizza and had lots of fun.
Also, it snowed while Jordan and Molly visited and they got to take some beautiful pictures of the snow and the ocean.
While Jordan and Molly were in Washington we were busy going to wrestling tournaments, working, and taking advantage of the good weather by building chicken coops:
and rock climbing:
Oh, and of course planning and enjoying work parties:
Then, we celebrated Christmas together:
And the frog and toad bags were too:
And of course, we had to dress Blue up as an elf...not sure he liked it, but we sure did.
He barely fit in it. Just so you know we did try it on him and he did fit in it at Thanksgiving.
Then Jordan and Molly came!!!! And they brought the snow with them.
So we made our Christmas traditional nut braid:
And built puzzles...three of them. This was the most difficult:
And played games....but NEVER fought.
And of course, we played in the snow. We went sledding in our mountains:
And yes, Riley got the snowmobile stuck...Dad and Ben to the rescue.
And we brought Blue, the snow hound:
Sledding in deep snow is a little more difficult than we thought but we definitely made it work. We also went skiing. Brad and Jordan taught Molly to back-country ski at a nearby ski hill.
Then on a snow day the kids went to the local resort while Ben and Brad went snowmobiling.
Then the college kids left and went skiing together in Utah.
And three wrestled:
And we saw a cool moon but couldn't quite capture it's beauty but we tried:
And today Blue, Brad, Riley and Jake did their first back country tour:
Happy New Year!!!!!
